Technology

Technology is constantly developing and progressing in today’s society, and the latest technology allows us to achieve things that 50 years ago seemed impossible. Technology is revolutionizing the way dental operations are carried out, making each procedure more efficient for the patient. We take pleasure in being up to date with the latest technology at Alliance Dental Care in Meridian, Idaho. We want your visit to our office to be as pleasant as possible.

Below we have listed some of the technologies we use in our practice. We are fully educated and trained on using each machine, making your stay and dental process quicker and simpler.

CEREC Machine

CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. This machine is a dental tool that allows us to create customized ceramic dental restorations in just one visit. The CEREC reduces the time it takes to send a mold of your teeth to a dental laboratory for a part to be created, which can often take up to a week and multiple visits to the dentist. CEREC machines employ 3D scans to create ceramic onlays, inlays, and crowns, allowing dentists to deliver same-day restorations for patients who require crowns or dental implants.

3D Cone Beam Scan

Dental cone beam computed tomography (CT) is an x-ray machine that is utilized when standard dental or face x-rays aren't enough. In a single scan, your doctor may be able to obtain three-dimensional (3-D) images of your teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways, and bone. This does not necessitate any extra preparation.

3D Printer

A 3D Printer is being more and more commonly used in dentistry. The 3D printer uses an image and is printed layer by layer until it creates an object. This is especially helpful in dentistry as it allows dental appliances to be ready quicker. There is no longer a need to send images to a dental laboratory.

Here at Alliance Dental Care in Meridian, Idaho, we care deeply about our patients, which is why we have made sure to be up to date with the latest technology. If you have any questions about the different machines we use and their processes, please feel free to give us a call. We are more than happy to address any concerns you may have.

We look forward to serving you more conveniently!
